Drawn using a stippling technique, this piece consists solely of small dots.

In the Southern hemisphere, commercial whaling in the 20th century brought humpbacks close to extinction. Although their numbers have slowly increased since then, the Oceania population of humpback whales was classified in 2008 as 'endangered' by the IUCN. These gentle giants are worth protecting!
